	CONFIRMED! Daniel Radcliffe is our Harry! Daniel played the young David in the BBC’s David Copperfield and will be seen later this year in the John Boorman film The Tailor of Panama.
	CONFIRMED! Newcomer Rupert Grint will play Ron Weasley. Rupert has acted in school plays before.
	CONFIRMED! Newcomer Emma Watson has been cast as Hermione! Emma has done some acting in school plays. JK Rowling has said "Emma Watson is Hermione!"
	CONFIRMED! Devon Murray, has landed the role of Seamus; Harry Potter's friend in The Sorcerer's Stone. Devon is currently working on Scorsese's gangs of New York with Liam Neeson - the Harry Potter people have agreed to film around young devon's schedule..."

	CONFIRMED! British actor Robbie Coltrane will play Hagrid.
	CONFIRMED! . Irish legend Richard Harris was said to be in talks to play Dumbledore. The actor is said to want a cut of merchandising from the film instead of a high salary and that is what is holding up the deal.

	CONFIRMED! Hogwarts will be "portrayed" by Gloucester Cathedral. The film will be shot at Gloucester Cathedral and Leavesden Studios in Hertforshire in the fall.
